This driver was not tased for getting a ticket, he was tased because after he was advised that he was under arrest for a criminal offence, (refusing to sign a traffic ticket) and the driver became uncooperative and caused his own problems. You see when you are asked to sign a traffic ticket, it is not an admission of guilt, it is agreeing to satisfy the citation by the options written on the back of the citation, which you get a copy of after you sign the citation. On the roadside is not the place to contest a citation, that is an option that you have by requesting a court date and having it heard in traffic court.
This is a little advice that may save you time and money that I’m sure can be spent in a more rewarding way. If you disagree or have a negative encounter with the actions of a police officer, file a complaint with supervisors at that agency, I guarantee that your concerns won’t be satisfied on the roadside.
